ME IN A NUTSHELL
I like to solve problems. It's in my genes and I get it from all four of my parents. When I approach a painting, it feels to me like I'm trying to find the solution that will make it work. It can be as simple as a brushstroke or as complex as starting with a clean slate.
I think to be a good artist you've got to learn to listen to your instincts and to continually build them. I strive to create works of art that are asthetically pleasing and an expression of my instinctual self. I am always trying to find new mediums and techniques to experiment with and truly believe that I will never (nor should) stop learning. There is so much to see and do out there, I just try to remain thankful that God has given me a chance to be here at this point in time.
There is beauty all around us; it's up to each of us to see and appreciate it in our own unique ways. That's why I paint.
Thanks for checking out my shtuff.
